The reason the Gauntlet blows up itself and not the equipped creature is flavor stuff for what it's referencing. Having the ability itself instead of granting it to the equipped creature was just an odd oversight.
I cackle as I look around my lab, mixing some potions here, tuning a glove here, transmogrifying an assistant into an elemental monkey there, so on and so forth. But finally the inspiration strikes as I look out on the city. There's a pattern there. Not one I understand fully but one that inspires me. Drives me as I fabricate something to draw on the very soul of Ravnica itself...

Perfect originality is overrated and often ugly. The best and most beautiful cards I've ever seen were clearly inspired by something else. Cards are not entirely unlike living organisms in this regard. All the good ones are a result of long evolution; the 'original' ones are either monocellular or mutant aberrations.

Unstable Guildmage - Creature — Weird Wizard (M) At the beginning of your end step, sacrifice Unstable Guildmage unless you activated five or more abilities this turn. : Draw a card. : Unstable Guildmage deals 1 damage to any target. 4/3
Spare Parts Artifact Creature-Construct (C) When Spare Parts enters the battlefield, sacrifice it unless you sacrifice another artifact you control. 4/4
Completely fair and balanced card that connects well with the idea of a scrap robot built from parts, while still being a beast that can kill other robots and survive. One of the better entries I've seen for Robot Fight Club. Celebrated Visionary CuriousHeartless is please with your entry and will be steali...watching your inventions in the future.

Proving once again why you are a Celebrated Visionary within the guild. My only knock on this card is the level of complexity inherit to the design, but that is a minor gripe in fantasy fantasy card design. Its definitely Mythic, and it makes me, as a Johnny, want to deisgn a deck to abuse the hell out of it. Niv-Ersatz invites you for tea with the other Lab Leaders. You have sandwiches and these little puff pastries you decide you simply must get the recipe for.

I would have to play it to be sure, but it seems like this card is broken somewhere, but I just can't quite see how. The first two effects are strong to be sure. It's that last line though that really makes the Izzet Guild Leaders happy. I love seeing a card that has been designed well. You know, where you can see the touch of someone that really knows how to craft something. It's an ethereal quality and you have it in spades. I have no idea where that saying comes from. I just googled it and its not very interesting.

Another solid entry in the Robot Fight Club. It's this kind of innovation that is going to get you noticed there mister. Once we scrub off all that oil, grease and smoke that is. Nope, still not sure who you are. Oh well, keep giving the Lab Master ideas and you might get someplace.
Pipe Sweeper Artifact Creature - Construct Whenever Pipe Sweeper attacks, destroy target Aura attached to an Artifact. 3/5 Lazy lubers ladle on loads of lube layers, lacking liability. And when something breaks underneath all that? Someone's got to wash it off to allow access.
This is one of the best batches of Robot Fight Club I have ever seen. It's a solid card that I can't fault and has just loads of flavor. You should move up the ranks quickly with entires like this.

I love the idea of a self replicating mana rock. Personally, and this might be the wrong decision, I would lower that CMC requirement to 4. It makes it feel more mythic to me, like it could get out of control. At 5, it doesn't create a sense of panic that I have to get rid of it. I'd be more worried about the 5 cost spells. That's not enough to hold you back though. Not yet anyways.

This is just a fun card to evaluate. It feels Mythic as hell and has tons of flavor to boot. The idea you have summoned this thing that you have to keep using works on a flavor level and a functional level, spewing out power at a level you just can't keep up which keeps its obviously potent abilities in check.

ILLUMINATED TECHNOPROPHET - You transcend reality in all levels of your designs. The others called you "mad", "insane", and "dangerous" but you have shown them all to be weak minded fools that are either disintegrated or lubing pipes. You have risen to as high as anyone other than Niv-Ersatz can go, and he is starting to sweat. You play the part for now, you can't see any reason why you shouldn't be running the guild instead of him. CELEBRATED VISIONARY - You are a Legend among the Izzet. Whispered about in fear in the other Guilds, Niv-Ersatz nods to you at parties. Your budget is as limitless as your reputed madness. PRIME CREATOR - Not only are you Head of a Branch of the Guild, you now only answer to Niv-Ersatz. WONDROUS REALIZER - Your works have transcended accepted mortal limitations in design and implementation. GRAND INNOVATOR - You are renown throughout the Izzet League as the most promising Magelord seen in generations. REVERED MAGELORD - Your talent, clout and station are undeniable. Not only do you decide the direction of the Guild, you can detontate assistants and no one cares. (Other than the assistants.) MAGELORD - Lowly beginnings and questionable parentage be damned. You made it to the ranks of the Inner Circle. Welcome to the Council. IZZET ARCHITECT - You tell people how to create things so wondrous the Izzet have finally branded you with their name. Literally...you can't sit for a week. MASTER ENGINEER - Your knowledge and luck is renown among the Izzet League. Magelords will even nod to you at parties. GUILD ENGINEER - You now do more than experiment. You have created things the Izzet League wants recreated. DECORATED INVENTOR - Other people are jealous of your preternatural ability to make amazing things explode. LEAGUE INVENTOR - You're allowed to cause explosions and create noxious substances and give hell to Head Broom Masters if it doesn't get cleaned up. JUNIOR INVENTOR - You're allowed to dabble with stuff that might only kill YOU. MAD LAB ASSISTANT - You were here before the other assistants. Don't be too happy about it. SENIOR PROTOTYPE TESTER - You survived a few prototypes! PROTOTYPE TESTER - You get to strap the jetpack on! LAB GOPHER - You're even allowed to leave the lab because scientists need coffee too. BROOM MASTER - You get to tell other people where to push their brooms! BROOM PUSHER - It's official. You push brooms! Your momma would be so proud if she would only talk to you. ASSISTANT BROOM PUSHER - Because Broom Pushers like to push around more than brooms! STEAM WRANGLER - Each blister is a badge of honor! PIPE LUBER - Everything needs to fit together somehow. It's your job to make sure they do!
ROUND 31: Now that everyone recognizes your genius, even if they pretend that they haven't, you realize you have more ideas and work than can possibly be completed by any one person. You need some direct help. Not just Pipe Lubers and Steam Wranglers, but actual assistants that can help you day to day to try out some of your more insane and dangerous experiments. It is a time honored tradition for a Mad Genius to have an "Igor". Someone to pull the switches, find the bodies, plug in the Mana Coils and bounce ideas off of. This will be a very illustrious position for some poor schlep to be suckered into.
CRITERIA: Create an "Igor". Interpret as you see fit.

Qualified Lever-Puller - Creature - Homunculus When ~ enters the battlefield, search your library for a card, shuffle your library, then put that card fifth from the top. : Put the top card of your library into your graveyard. : Untap ~. : Exile ~. Then, return it to the battlefield at the beginning of the next end step. 1/2
Qualified Lever-Puller - Creature - Homunculus : Look at the top five cards of your library. : Put the top card of your library into your graveyard. , : Put target card in your graveyard onto the bottom of your library. Even though he was not the one carrying out the experiment, lifting the mad contraption into place and observing from the sidelines was plenty thrilling enough. 1/3

To the alchemist's glee, lightning pulmarium caused it to wriggle at thrice the frequency as flubery thallalium.
Tweaking Archcapacitor Creature - Weird Wizard Flying Plasmaform (This creature is dealt damage in the form of charge counters. At the end of turn, if the number of charge counters on this creature is equal to or greater than its toughness, sacrifice it.) , Remove two charge counters from Tweaking Archcapacitor: Tap or untap target permanent. 2/4 In retrospect, grounding the overflow from the entire lab in a single reservoir was not a great idea. Luckily the result proved trainable, and had a few ideas of its own
