First thing-all of these are awesome and Yxoque I love the way your poem flips like convertible turtle's power and toughness. Also, are you going to try to add to the history after each set/block?

I've been asked this before, and I haven't answered it yet. Honestly, I'm torn on that. It would be easy enough to do, so I'm not really sure there's a reason not to. I'll think about it, but it's not likely to be updated in the near future.

This poem began as another Random Card, this time pulling up Sylvan Library. This poem (a series of five inter-connected Sonnets, actually) did not turn out the way I had originally expected, which is not necessarily a bad thing, of course.

Another one of my favorites, this poem began when someone made a thread asking what Blasphemous Act actually did to the creatures on the battlefield. I decided to try to answer that question.

This time, my 'Random Card of the Day' was Elephant Graveyard. This one changed significantly from my original conception of it.

I'm really fond of what I like to call my "List" poems, where I incorporate a number of card references in a single poem. This one has a TON of them (if I remember correctly, I reference 52 cards in the span of 48 lines) and I just love how it all falls together. I also introduced this poem with a Simpsons quote, when Homer Simpson said "Walls are a necessity in today's society."

Walls

This was a 'Random Card of the Day' that turned into a list poem, and is one of my favorites. The card was Severed Legion, and I chose to expand it to be about Aphetto.

Aphetto Town

This poem is a little different because it is one of only a very few of mine that is not based on a card. It's rather based on the Innistrad setting, as the next several will be, because we were beginning to work on the Innistrad Anthology over in M:EM.

Another Innistrad poem. I really love the beginning of this. Like Rising Moon, this one is not specifically based on a card.

It's difficult for me to pick a favorite poem I've written, but this one is certainly in the running. I'm really proud of this one. Another Innistrad poem, this one is stylistically and thematically similar to Aphetto Town.

I'm pretty proud of this one, too. This is the last of my Innistrad Anthology poems. I created my own meter here in order to get 13 syllables in each line, so each line goes (iamb)(anapest)(anapest)(anapest)(iamb). I'm personally pretty happy with the result.

Thirteen

ArcadesSabboth made an awesome random table, where people could role a 20-sided die and it would determine which plane in the multiverse their characters would end up. I decided this was a perfect opportunity for a poem, so I rolled the following journey:

The next Random Card I did was Dragon Whelp, and I'm really happy about how I merged the card's mechanics with the structure.

I asked if there were any requests, and Keeper requested a folk song from the M:EM plane of Jakkard. This was the result. Incidentally, there is a separate thread for this one, as well as a Youtube video featuring me attempting to sing my own creation. That video is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1MXmCNMeEY

Keeping on the Jakkard theme, here is a poem I wrote about the Rail-Runners. I have no idea if Rail-Runners are a thing in Jakkard, but they should be... :shifty:

Another random card. This time, Belfry Spirit. For some reason, this forum doesn't like showing extra spaces, so the cool little visual thing I do with this one doesn't show up, but the poem doesn't need it, strickly speaking.
