File this under missed opportunity in Throne:

Campfire Storytime -
Enchantment | U
Whenever a creature that has an Adventure enters the battlefield under you control, you may cast a copy of its Adventure without paying its mana cost.
Late at night, townsfolk gather around the fire to hear tales of brave knights wooing fair maidens and slaying dragons in distant lands.

Spellgorger Barbarian exists.

TIL Darkshire Librarian exists in Magic!

FR tho, BJo's version is way more elegant, and I'm surprised you had to go back to pre-Modern to find something close.

Minus Magic - :2::b:
Sorcery
Target player discards two Magic cards.

This is both better and worse than Mind Rot. Better because it constrains the opponent’s choice, but worse because they might not have two Magic cards in hand. Note that this doesn’t need a reveal clause because you can tell the kind of cards by their backs

Creature - Human Rogue
Whenever this creature attacks and isn't blocked, draw a card.
0/1

I wonder if this would see play in an occasional Modern deck.

I think it needs a bigger toughness. If it's blocked, it dies to anything and it doesn't kill anything. I'm also not sure, regardless of toughness, you can have potentially recursive card draw at CMC 1

That has to be rare by the rules of planeswalker removal. And I don’t think it needs cycling, it’s not weaker than Demystify

Not true — Spark Harvest says otherwise. Granted, it was from a planeswalker-heavy set that really needed removal for them at common, but I don't think the ability to destroy planeswalkers is necessarily rare.

Not every deck plays planeswalkers, so adding some modularity through Cycling enables a player to be prepared for them while also not wasting a card slot. There's a two mana Plague Wind for planeswalkers in Standard with upside in The Elderspell that doesn't see much play beyond sideboards because it's a dead card against so many decks.

The mana cost might be a tad aggressive, but I don't think it should cost more than . Planeswalkers are becoming increasingly stronger, and as such, the answers to them need to become stronger as well.

It’s (the rarity) been explicitly stated by Maro in one of his columns. War of the spark is an exception

As an additional cost to cast Malevolent Collapse, sacrifice a land.
Destroy target creature.

Two target creatures each become a copy of the other until end of turn.

No idea how you'd word this or what it'd cost but that's OK

Nicolas Cage Will Play Nicolas Cage in a Movie About Nicolas Cage

Quote:
Cage’s entire career seems to have been building towards this very moment: THR says he’s in talks to play himself in The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, a film that Lionsgate beat out HBO Max and Paramount to make. The plot sounds…wild, y’all. In the film, Nicolas Cage is desperate to land a role in a new Quentin Tarantino movie. He’s also “dealing with a strained relationship with his teenage daughter. He also occasionally talks to an egotistical 1990s version of himself who rides him for making too many crappy movies and for not being a star anymore.”

Much like the real Cage, this movie Cage is “under a mountain of debt.” These debts force Cage to “make an appearance at the birthday party of a Mexican billionaire who happens to be a fan of Cage’s work and secretly hopes to show him a script on which he’s been working.”

This is already pretty strange, but here’s where things get really far-out:

Quote:
While he bonds with the man, Cage is informed by the CIA that the billionaire is actually a drug cartel kingpin who has kidnapped the daughter of a Mexican presidential nominee, and is recruited by the U.S. government to get intelligence. The situation spirals even more dramatically when the Mexican brings over Cage’s daughter and his ex-wife for a reconciliation, and when their lives are on the line, Cage takes on the role of a lifetime.

If all of that wasn’t enough to hook you, you should also know that the film references real Cage movies like Leaving Las Vegas, Face/Off, and Gone in 60 Seconds, and that the script that Cage and the alleged drug kingpin are writing “begins to mirror events on the storyline.”
