For early judges: I edited my card (as in pretty much replaced it entirely)

Hybrid is a subset of multicolor, so yes.

Disinter

Return target permanent card from your graveyard to the battlefield.

'unearth' was my name of choice but since it's a keyword that does something similar but different I thought it might be confusing. Disinter means exactly the same thing as far as I can tell.

Changed my card, also noticed after changing it that one of the cards I wanted to submit was basically the creature version of riorvard's card even if I didn't read his card until after I came up with that one... that would have been awkward.

Whoops, I got busy and thought I had until Friday for some reason. Looks like I blew my shot at the Wild Card round this year....

I suppose I should probably grade this, shouldn't I?

general note: if you've made a really elegant, clever combination that you're surprised doesn't already exist, it's worth double-checking that it doesn't. a surprising number of you fell into that trap this round.

this feels simultaneously too strong and annoyingly weak. like, it doesn't come with any mana fixing which is annoying 'cause it's not like they're likely to have too many lands in their graveyard, but if you do get the mana or they happen to be the same colors as you, it's an absurd pile of card advantage. I'd rather it be more expensive and come with its own fixing, like psychic intrusion. the flavor's interesting, and I'd like to see more from the plane this is from.

I figured it was a powerful enough effect that it would be built around. The solution to the manafixing problem is milling, which also gives you more cards to pull from.

Im happy about my grade and at the risk of making you lower my grade, my card hits any permanent, not just creatures.

oh, missed that. I don't think it makes much difference, but thanks for the heads-up.

@razor. I mostly see what you're saying, but there is a key difference between Oblivion and both Worldfire and Apocalypse: You can float mana and do something after it lands to be up on board, since it doesn't nuke your hand -- perhaps devastatingly up, depending on how far your opponent overextended.

Jesus, 4th place? That is pretty damn good. I feel like Decimate is a fair but a bit off comparison to make. Spasms hits everyone so while you have less control it hits more people (it was a very made for Commander card). Being made for commander also makes the fact it also hits Planeswalkers a bit more prevalent. It also doesn't target so while opponents could sac worthless stuff (which since in Jund you can remove every type of permanent you'd likely be able to control the small things and even if every opponent sacs small stuff that's a lot of small things dying) it can't be stopped by their not being enough and if you only have the lands and creatures you only go down 2 so you can control your own losses (and it IS Jund so you likely have a board where you can benefit some from the stuff dying).

But at the same time I actually was considering bumping it down to 5 cmc and only didn't because the round closed a day before I was expecting it to so that's a very fair criticism that I agree with.

that's true, but it's a 6-drop, how much mana are you realistically gonna be floating past it? it also further illustrates how unfun it is in practice because even if they didn't overextend at all, your opponent can't float mana (or, I mean, they can, but it's unlikely they'll have much to spend it on) so they're stuck back on turn 1 while you have whatever it is you floated out.
