Hi all! I'd like to present a short series of card pairs, representing wizards, and the lands from which they hail.

Creature — Human Wizard

: Target creature gains hexproof until end of turn.
2/2

Kentwood Oldgrowth
Land
: Add one mana of any color to your mana pool. Target opponent creates a 1/1 green Dryad creature token.

Creature — Human Wizard
, Discard an Enchantment card: Crab-School Enchanter is indestructible this turn. Draw a card.
2/2

World's Eye Isle
Legendary Land — Island
(: Add to your mana pool.)
: You may look at the top card of target opponent's library.

Backalley Necromancer
Creature — Human Wizard
: Return target creature card with converted mana cost four or less from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped.
1/2

Shadow of Lichpeak
Land
: Add to your mana pool.
: Add to your mana pool for each other Shadow of Lichpeak you control.

I may continue this endeavor tomorrow, and in to the future! :wizard:

But nobody dies until the ability has fully resolved...

Aura spells targeting Cloverdell Daydreamer cost to cast.
1/1

This might be a little underpowered. Just a little. Also this isn't your fault but I hate how abilities like this reduce generic mana costs (at least IIRC)

does it work unintuitively? It should set the cost to cast any aura to right?

If it was a 2/3 common I could probably pick up multiple copies of it in limited and then run off-color auras. In constructed this would only be playable if you were breaking it, in which case the difference between 1/1 and 2/3 doesn't really matter unless you are dodging removal that hits for two or less that is also standard playable, which is possible but unusual.

So make it 2/3 i suggest.
