[Enchantment - Aura Law] (U)
Enchant Creature
Creatures with the same name as enchanted creature have no subtypes or abilities.
The Citadel's laws are harsh, controlling everything from what foods can be grown, to what jobs can exist.

(The subtype Law, on its own, doesn't do anything. Certain cards would make reference to laws though)

Thrunyx Parasite |
Enchantment Creature - Insect {U}
Bestow (If you cast this card for its bestow cost, it's an Aura spell with enchant creature. It becomes a creature again if it's not attached to a creature.)
At the beginning of your end step, if Thrunyx Parasite is an Aura, put a +1/+1 counter on it.
Enchanted creature gets -1/-1 for each counter on Thrunyx Parasite.
1/1

Planning lands is good. Playing lands is better, though.

Hey planning is underappreciated. If you don't plan you could potentially embarrass yourself with a typo

thanks for the catch

What would the mechanics of planning a land even be I wonder?

Counter target spell. That spell's controller adds mana to their mana pool equal to the mana cost of the spell (Cost includes color.)

Well, you gotta go to New Prahv to pull permits, and there's got to be an EIR and a public hearing before you can fortify

(Spoiler alert: I worked in city planning for a year)

You may return target spell to its owner's hand. If you don't, return ~ to its owner's hand.

Can someone confirm that the reminder text is correct?

Doesn't work. Needs to be something that allows a delayed choice. Like "then, you may return ~ to its owner's hand."

I'm headed to the gym. Hopefully that will give enough time for anyone that still wants to submit the chance to do so. Other than that, grades done. Good round people.

Counter target spell.
Draw a card.
The mystical power of symbol recombination will not win you any battles. It will win you wars.

Also, you have NOT rated or counted my late-arrival black card.

Edacade - This card doesn't seem wholly red to me. That return from the battlefield clause. Of course, Red does have a long and storied history of phoenixes. I think you might have pushed it a bit with the "gaining control of the object when it dies". Do Planeswalkers "die" like creatures in the rules sense? 2 Points.
Knight Otu - Definitely black. I like the idea. Flavorfully I would make Pirates black as well. Endeavour...is that just for pirates? Seems a little narrow for an ability word. 2 points.
SimicMimic - I really like this card. Very white and I'm surprised this hasn't been printed in a similar form. 3 Points.
Yarium - Now this is just sweet. So flavorful. It slowly kills its host as it gets more powerful. So black. 3 Points.
Malikot - very green. Strong card. Maybe a little too strong for uncommon? I would have to play it to be sure. That would be my only beef with it. 3 Points.
ParadOxymoron - Definitely green through and through. I think you might have been able to slice a G off the mana cost. 3 points.
AzureShade - A reverse, not broken Mana Drain. I still kick myself for selling my mana drains sometimes. But I digress. I'm not sure that mana being added back in is enough of a drawback for hard countering at UU. There are lots of times, especially in blue, where you are playing your cards very carefully and likely won't want to spend the mana for a spell you want to hold onto. It does promote skillful plays though, rewarding and understanding of your opponent's deck and the board state. 3 Points.
Confused - I can't argue its white, but it seems a little phoned in for me. First strike and vigilance. White, but blandly so. The god clause touches on flavor, but I think that line could be in a number of colors. It does play well with the current releases. 2 Points.
Tekkahedron - solidly black to be sure. Tried and true. It feels fresher to me with the cycling. I'm not sure you need to pay the life for the recycle though. Ideally, I'd like to see it as just Cycling - Pay 1 life. But I'm pretty sure thats broken to hell and back. 2 Points.
purplebackpack89 - this card pushes into rare for me with the scrying rules text. A 2/5 flashing spell countering creature that can't be blocked is a very strong uncommon already. 2 Points.
theatog - I don't see the point of this card. I mean, it's clever and all. It has the flavour of the Riddle going for it in that it's a bit of a Riddle itself. It's definitely very blue. 2 Points.
UselessCommon - Dismiss. 0 Points.

Favorite card of the round - Yarium! +1 Point.

STANDINGS:

Yarium - 29 Points
Mown - 26 Points
purplebackpack89 - 25 Points
Knight Otu - 25 Points
theatog - 25 Points
AzureShade - 24 Points
Edacade - 23 Points
SimicMimic - 22 Points
Confused - 21 Points
resdamalos - 20 Points
preadatordetector - 20 Points
UselessCommon - 20 Points
Tekkahedron - 19 Point
Malikot - 19 Points
ParadOxymoron - 11 Points
aranthinius - 7 Points

CRITERIA: Make a Mono Red Modal card that uses only Primary effects. Going forward I'm going to modify the points a bit. If you are in the top spot, you can't get a bonus if your card is my favorite. If you are in the top 5 but not #1, you get 1 bonus point for my favorite card. If you are not in the top 5, +2 bonus points for my favorite card.

No, endeavor would be for any class type that flavorwise would be performing the action in the spell nonmagically.

Warmaster's Command
Sorcery
Choose two -
* Up to three target creatures gain double strike until end of turn.
* Up to three target creatures gain menace until end of turn.
* Gain control of target creature and untap it. It gains haste until end of turn.
* After this phase, there is an additional combat phase. Untap all creatures that attacked this turn.
