Proxies should never be allowed. It ruins the most fundamental aspect of a TCG.

That isn't playing differently. Playing EDH is playing differently, playing 5color is differently, cube, type 4, Highlander.

Proxies aren't playing differently.

Nice argument by the way.

Alas your opinion is still irrelevant.

I don't think you know how that word works, or how to use it as an insult.

I'm more of an arbiter than you however. I mean, I actually play the game, and pay to play, since at the end of the day, M:tG is pay to play.

Now, I worked hard for my collection, I've sold things, I've made sacrifices, and even bad trades to get what I have.

I also love the game, I like most of the community, however, I hate proxies, simply because of principal.

All opinions are equal, some are just more equal than others.

Stop fighting because you're both wrong.

And anyway, the fundamental aspect of a tcg is a company making money. (No its not, its playing the game.)

I didn't know you could have fun. That's pretty impressive ;3

that sounded meaner than it was supposed to.

I just noticed that this can act on your own permanents to save them for just , which is pretty cool. I had been focusing on the fact that it can get rid of any nonland permanent your opponent has, but it works pretty nicely for your own things to save them at a cheap cost.

Not using proxies and buying real cards is simply a concession I make to WOTC to keep the game funded. That's the only reason I can accept for denying the use of proxies to people who can't afford the cards they represent. Bitterness on the part of people who already shelled out for those cards is understandable, but not a valid argument in my mind.

As for the actual card, it's pretty cool. And while I'm hardly an expert I think this could get into legacy depending on the metagame. At any rate it will always be a contender for legacy play.

Legacy can actually be broken into much more easily. Vintage not so much. Plus the whole "buy cards to fund WOTC" doesn't apply to second-hand market. If a Black Lotus sells for a million $'s, WOTC doesn't get a dime. Want to run proxies in standard? I don't think so. Legacy and vintage? Why not. Within reason of course.
