I feel like I'm doing a lot of white lately. Never understood why this is the color I usually do best in.
Make a white uncommon that uses a set mechanic. (Relics, oblation, mastery, engrave.)

Playing with engrave in this way would usually be something to hold for a second set, but we're only doing one. I want some "build-around" engrave cards.

But I guess that's not really possible.

The engrave ability wouldn't go off until this thing is already dead. I believe that a creature is still consider an attacker briefly after combat damage is dealt, but I'm not sure. In any case, most players won't be sure whether this can target the thing that killed it.

Did we ever hammer out the specifics of how mastery works? Looking at Altimis' card it never counts itself (unless it's type gets changed). It occurs to me that we should probably discuss the specific wording.

Altimis is doing it wrong. I suggested he do it that way in the Land thread once because it made sense for lands, but it really doesn't make sense that way, because if some of your permanents have Mastery and some others don't because they don't count themselves, that could get really confusing.

Ace - Only triggering off of artifact creatures seems too narrow for the nonengrave use of this card. Artifacts or creatures would have been fine. Maybe if you told me it was to ensure the card got around to the player drafting deck X. As is, it's kind of clunky.
Storyteller - Doesn't work like you would expect.
TP - You totally designed a common didn't you?
Others - Yeah, sorry I don't have time to do this.
