In this blazing heat, travelers can often feel as though their limbs are on fire. For some, the instinctive recourse is self-amputation.


(Basically, a more red-intensive but lower-cost version of Wrack with Madness, but without Wrack's potential to deal finishing-it-off damage to a creature that already took some damage earlier in the turn. For creatures with power >= toughness (or deathtouch!) this is effectively "creature kills itself next upkeep"; for creatures with p<t, this doesn't kill them, though it could lead to some tougher decisions on whether to attack.)

This screams "instant/sorcery focus", except it's you know, subtle about it. Like it wouldn't look out of place in a core set ya'know whadd'im sayin?
