I do not fear death. But I fear dying alone. Interesting thing to realize about oneself.

Half of the current Animal Crossing meme meta is a mixture of tarantulas and bloody axe murder. Thought y’all would find this slightly amusing.

that's just a society stigma. Once you become content with being alone, you no longer fear being alone or dying alone. It lets you live a far more surreal life.

Welp they snuck tax breaks for rich people for the next three years into the must pass corona virus bill before going home for a month.

I’m not opposed to the specific tax breaks; but this is scummy on principle lol.

I want the people I love to have some sort of closure by being able to say goodbye.

Dr. Lillian Thurman:
Do you feel alone right now?
Donnie:
I... I don't know... I mean, I'd like to believe that I'm not, but I just... I've just never seen any proof, so I... I just don't debate it anymore. You know, it's like I could spend my whole life debating it over and over again, weighing the pro's and con's and in the end, I still wouldn't have any proof, so I just... I just don't debate it anymore. Heh, it's absurd...
Dr. Thurman:
The search for God is absurd?
Donnie:
It is if everyone dies alone.
Dr. Thurman:
Does that scare you?
Donnie:
I don't wanna be alone.

Biden is having a democratic townhall on coronavirus tonight at 8pm on CNN

i'm seeing lots of people share 'good news' stories to up morale and stuff. Things like "3 people in Maryland have fully recovered and are now going about their regular lives once again", and "101-year old person recovers from coronavirus". And then everyone loves these articles and shares them. But am i wrong or do these do a dangerous amount of damage? the mortality rate for 80+ year olds that contract Covid-19 is like 99%, i'm not kidding. NYC is a total battleground right now in the hospitals and thousands of people are going to die. To start to make people in outbreak areas feel like a vaccine is being developed, or to be made to feel that recovery is almost assured seems dangerous to me.

Also plumbers tbh

Imma bout that “don't clap, send money” mentality for work in general. I was just meaning enshrine them to culturally honor healthcare peeps the way we do with war heroes and political figures and sports legends and Rocky Balboa

and this is my point, timh. The type of 'hope' those positive messages send around also make thoughtless people think everything is fine and it's okay to go onto normal life. Those types of people are waiting for ANY excuse to not do social distancing stuff.

Even Trump saying that churches will be crowded on Easter sunday is going to make thousands of people plan on attending sunday church that week, "i mean if anyone knows when it's safe, it out to be the president"

also the double posting that mjack is famous for seems to be another type of pandemic. I've noticed I have started doing it sometimes and others as well. I don't remember ANYONE doing this other than mjack for the longest time.

Idk I think it’s a dammed if you do dammed if you don’t thing. I can’t relate to thoughtless people thing cause this situation is absolutely real in my mind. Can’t predict how thoughtless people will respond. You’re prob right to some degree but I also think lack of hope is destructive. Peeps not feeling like there’s light at the end of the tunnel get suicidal. Tension in families could see more increases in abuse (I’ve already seen claims abuse instances have risen due to isolation orders). And hopeless people do dangerous things if they feel there’s no future.
