You could have ignored Shock's investigation completely and said nothing about it and attracted little to no scrutiny for it I bet! Or failing that claim to be some sorta town fairy or sumthin

I don't think you needed to bait me though because I was going to go after you and never intend to stop as soon as I realized you were the one who targeted me. Unless of course you admitting you targeted me was the bait and you purposely kamikazed yourself in which case yes it was a very successful bait.

Eh, maaaaaybe, but I probably would have gotten lynched just the same for it.

I realized after the fact that I could have claimed it as a role instead of alignment, since apparently people didn't look up touhou lore very much, but Shock said that he had (and had already guessed my character name even) so I doubt it would have flown by him as easily as the rest. Maybe though.

Once I noticed that you were planning on going after me basically to the exclusion of all else it made me feel much more likely that you were mafia, and that by forcing it to be between us two you were guaranteed to die, and either I get in towns good graces by securing a mafia lynch without revealing my kill ability or take you out in a kamikazi move to at least make it not a flawless mafia victory. I lost the coin flip but secured a town victory, and I will call it a moral victory since I was basically playing for the town at that point anyway (and was playing like a townie).

Quite the sneaky plan, I must say I'm rather impressed. Even if it did screw me over I can always appreciate a well executed strategy.

@Guessing Freddeh's character name: Didn't have a clue about Touhou other than the project's name before this game and figured do a little reading on living characters. Finding out about fairies and breadcrumbs let me get a pretty good guess...

But I do have one regret: I didn't push Fable more for the Tengu rivalry between our characters!

Yay! We win!

No thanks to me and my stupid Rag cult. XD

This just in: the next game I'm designing has a mandatory Rag cult mechanic built into it. Cuz I'm a bastard mod.

Yes. :V it has a mechanic in place whereby you must ally yourself with two other players for your votes to be worth anything. AND i made it flavourfully significant.

This is actually the last thing I wanna talk about concerning this game which is I don't actually think the idea behind a rag cult is all that bad and can actually be quite beneficial when done right. Where I think you (zinger) went wrong is where you constantly called attention to the rag cult and constantly asked for the opinion of the other cult members for pretty much the entirety of the day which was a good way to alienate the rest of the town that wasn't in the rag cult. The fact that you made such a big deal about numbers not voting with the group didn't help either.

If you wanted the rag cult to be successful I think the best way you could have gone about it in this case was establish the rag cult and then let the day play itself out forgetting that the cult even exists. Then about 24 to 36 hours before the deadline is when to ask for the other cult members opinion and decide on who to vote for. If something happens like what numbers did where a cult member actively disobeys the rest of the cult I would just kick them out of the cult rather than try to lynch them and just try to address it the following day because trying to force an abrupt lynch so close to a deadline is never a good idea. I think running a rag cult requires a bit of patience and you were just a bit too aggressive with it but it isn't an idea I would abandon, just something that takes a bit of practice to get right.

Also I don't want it to sound like Zinger was the only reason this rag cult didn't work. Numbers stabbing it in the back and Io's apathy towards it certainly didn't help either. If a rag cult is going to work all the members have to committed to it 100% and I would also keep small like no more than 3 people.

It took me a while to read though those qts. But, all that talk about lyncher roles made me laugh. Laugh I did too this game, I could not stop typing lol, lol. Cuz I might as well admit now that Numbers had it right all along, I pretty much came to kill everyone that I even thought had something to do with me last game lol. Yeah, it's you guys who made me this way. :V

I'm still getting a kick out of this too, considering numbers got lynched.
Yes, ideally I'd like to see you out there.walking the razors edge, mercilessly lynching scum after scum, as the mafia fails time and again to kill you, cause you know, they're all off your list.
You didn't do so, so yeah pretty much, your scum. Sounds like an op town role anyway. :V

Question for CL, on the record as it maybe: what did your diagram mean? Access to QTs?

People discussing our threats to fable are doing so in hindsight with no respect for time lines. We threatened when he had zero support for a Fred lynch and was intending to undermine and contradict us for lols. Even joking about claiming mafia. When we were against him the day was leaning against him and his crazy antics. Literally the moment the Fred lynch gained momentum we backed it. Which amusingly cost us the game.

Yeah, I knew there was no way it would have been right, just felt like posting it. I wish I was at a comp so I could actually explain coherently. But, alot of the idea for it went back to how numbers and kod defended each other, I couldn't explain it unless somehow they had a secret handshake or something, ya know. And, the way way io diverted the rag cult votes away from kod last minute day 1. It was just a theory like I said. I really do over analyze to much. Like, I remember Fred said, "I'm on a boat!" or something, and I was like. yeah.... Conspiracy

Okay first off there was never zero support for a Fred lynch because Io got on board pretty much right away so there's already one lie you're telling. Second you're plan was to get CL lynched which was a stupid plan that was never going to work so of course I wasn't going to go along with it. Third I didn't claim mafia did I? I claimed vanilla town like you wanted me to but you and KoD didn't seem to care that I did do what you asked me to to some extent. Also don't lie you were pretty much against me from the moment I wasn't on the CL plan. Also again lynching Fred didn't cost us the game, you and KoD performing the clumsiest hammer known to man was the reason we lost.

Read the dead chat. Lots of fully informed people forgetting how that alters perspectives.
Plus a super bitter fable who spent his active time messing with his own team rather than explain his ideas, then was surprised when they cut him loose.

@kod I picked up the cl target error but couldn't find the damn posts so left it.

Final feelings is the conduct in dead chat is sending me straight back into a break.

I've already posted a lot concerning all this.

In the quick topic I feel posts 240 and up are close to where we have our falling out. A difference in approach to the game to be sure, but one in which you wanted us to yield to how you wanted things done as opposed to not getting upset that we were talking out how we wanted to approach the game.

While it is all moot given how the game broke down, the point still stands that if we want to approach the game in a way where getting rid of you is, in our opinion, for the best of the team, you can't get mad at us for doing our own thing. After all, you did your own thing despite our not particularly liking it, yet we didn't (couldn't) stop you per se.

I believe the lesson here is: It's a game. If you don't like what happens, deal with it and move on.
