I'll review your sheet while at work today when I can find the time.

Don't worry. It's not very long. :V

I don't know what was wrong the sheet was set as viewable, but it was not. I changed the option for unviewable, then put at the same option and now it is viewable.

Trinket: A tiny gnome-crafted music box that plays a song you dimly remember from your childhood.

Ugh sorry, I've been on the road a lot since yesterday. Sorry for the delay!

Here is my roll for my trinket:

I don't have my PHB with me, so if someone can look it up for me, or I'll just fill it in later.

Argun Woodfence :

BBorn on a cabbage farm, Argun learned to bend a bow as soon as his arms were up to the task. He was the third of four and often left to himself, a circumstance that fueled his wanderlust. He joined the service at 13 and his skills in archery were increased.

His first assignment as a soldier was to the Healer' unit. His bow would provide cover, though his hands were just as often needed to apply pressure to a wound as to repel the enemy.

He saw action against bandits and the occasional band of once or goblins. When his first commission was done, he was offered another, but even patrolling a wide expanse felt too much like confinement, so he took to wandering. It was hard to say goodbye to his brothers in arms, but the road called and he needed to answer.

A few months later, he stayed a season with his uncle, a wagon maker. His uncle had done some work for a Dwarf who was going on about some mines and who needed steady hands willing to travel.

That sounded like a good time to Argun, so he started heading towards adventure.

___

Skills: I count five Medicine (human), survival, perception (class), athletics, intimidation (background).

I will update my sheet as soon as I am near my desktop.

My trinket is a rank insignia from a lost legionairre

Back story:

Joab's life began with a bang. As he was brought into the world in the Sylvan woods by his elven mother, an arcane explosion ripped through space, killing her, his human father, and the midwife. No one knows what caused the explosion. Some believe that it was connected to the Sundering. Some blame the unnatural union of human and elf. Some blame Joab - the only survivor. When the other elves in the clan came running to investigate the explosion, they found a most unusual baby crying in the midst of the chaos - a baby with pale skin, white hair, and red eyes.

Joab was raised by the clan, but very few ever trusted him. Strange things always happened around the boy. Noises and lights, strange smells, and sometimes people even got sick after contact with him. Stories began to circulate and were often exaggerated until his name became both a joke and a curse. Joab wanted to belong and tried desperately to control the power within him that he had no explanation for.

One elf family finally began to warm to the boy and raised him alongside their own son, Hallel. Hallel and Joab grew up as close as brothers, playing and hunting together just as any other elves. One day when the two were hunting deer together, they spotted a beautiful buck drinking at the edge of the lake. Joab was out of arrows and wanted to see if his magic could fell the deer. As the magic missiles lept from his hand, striking down the deer, a lightning storm erupted all around him, setting fire to several trees, and killing Hallel. Hallel's parents, Joab's adopted family, could not find it in themselves to forgive him. joab could not forgive himself either. A meeting of the clan elders was called, and although they could not place direct blame on Joab for the unwanted and uncontrollable power, they all agreed that he should leave his people for the safety of them all.

Joab knew a few traders that stopped by the village from time to time on their travels, and he always loved their tales of adventure. Gundren was a dwarf that had a reputation for adventure and fortune, and Joab sought him out, having no where else to turn. Joab has acted as an escort for Gundren's caravans in the past but has not seen any real action or adventure since leaving his people.

Joab hopes that he will one day be able to understand and control his power so that he can return to make amends for what he has done.

  • You need one more skill proficiency for being Human (one skill of your choice)
  • You need to pick your Racial Enemy
  • You need to record your Racial Traits (Darkvision and Fey Ancestry) somewhere
  • Background needs to be done - particularly how you know Gundren.
I human with Darkvision and Fey Ancestry? :V

...yes? I have no idea how I missed that one. I mean I mentioned Human right there a line above it.

I'm still only seeing four ticked on my end - Survival appears to be the one the remains unticked.

Tossing Garren a PM about starting to split up the two groups. It looks like most everyone is done with their characters for good and the few things left to be fixed can be done so while the games are moving forward.

Wish I could fit in everyone but both games are already gonna have an extra person as is. :/

I guess one person extra cant be that harmful? I mean, maybe you can edit the monster quantity or power, or just roll with it as is. I dont know what is better if it even works, but anyways, whatever you do, I'm sure it'll work out in the end.

Well the module is designed for five and even if both games take six that still leaves two players on standby. So both teams would have to have seven people for a five-man modle in order to fit the whole crowd.

I seriously didnt think it would get this much of a frenzy so quickly. I posted the threads at like 5am for stateside... lol.

Hah I guess so. But 6 people for a 5man quest is still do-able. And those two extra people, well, I dont know how to fix that. I guess they cant play?

Well this may possibly be the last review thread so enjoy it while you can!

Felbatista
  • Still needs to be submitted from what I can tell.

And that's it! Everyone else is done a raring to go!

Applications
Player| Character | Class | Race | Background | Status
LordFluffy |Argun|Fighter(Archer) | Human |Soldier|Done!
Haus|Joab|Sorcerer |Half-Elf |Outlander |Done!
Roaring Mouse|Yvaine|Ranger |Human |Outlander |Done!
Pandiano|Raphae|Druid|Half-Elf |Outlander|Done!
FeebleMeltdown|Tomi|Rogue|Halfing|Criminal|Done!
NeoDaitou|Haldar|Cleric|Dwarf|Guild Artisan|Done!
the_antigamer| Rhasta| Wizard|Human |Charlatan |Done!
midashand|Booker|Rogue |Human |Urchin|Done!
felbatista|||||Waiting
True Believer|Sandal|Cleric|Human|Acolyte|Done!
DS|Obed|Warlock|Half-Elf|Sailor|Done!
Xacktasti|Damon |Fighter|Human|Urchin|Done!
Island|Vacea|Druid|Human |Hermit|Done!

I think at this point we're about ready to start dividing up teams!

So looking at the teams we have I'm thinking something like this as a split;

Team 1
Fighter
Rogue
Cleric
Druid
Wizard

Team 2
Fighter
Rogue
Cleric
Druid
Sorcerer

That leaves us with an extra Ranger, Warlock and whatever Fel is player to divide up. Thoughts?

Fel is a monk I think.

Were there any players who wanted to be in the same group as any other players? You have good meshing backgrounds or know the person IRL or something like that?

Uhm. I think I would like it to be grouped with the guy that can talk Thieves' Cant as well, although since we have 2 rogues, that could just as well work if he'd be grouped with the other rogue.

One thing that I do think might cause amusing things to happen, is that both me(Tomi) and Rhasta seem to love money. By putting us together, you might get some funny scenarios, should we both decide to bolt for the cash instead of analyzing a room. ^^
