So, a while back I posted that there was a Compendium of Free Tabletop RPG Games, and that I had a particular interest in Shotguns & Zombies since I'm a big zombie apocalypse fan. Well, it was mostly me and Bounty Hunter talking in that thread.... actually, I think it was only me and Bounty Hunter, so I wanted to throw out the idea here. I know people hate clicking links, so I'm also going to try transcribing the rules below as well.

Holy hell that took a while to try and format into something a little more readable since copy / paste doesn't retain any kind of formatting from the original site. Either way, if we get a game going it'd be good to have the rules copied down on this site as well. Since the game is free and I linked into the original site, I figure that it's alright to copy the entire thing. As noted inside the rules, the links for the character sheets are currently broken, but the character development is pretty simple and quick, so I doubt it'd take much to generate a sheet for it.

This actually looks pretty fun. I'm going to give the rules a proper digestion once I've had a couple hours sleep but looks good from what I've read. Consider this an 'I'm up for it' unless something about the rules really turns me off the idea.

Here's a PDF titled Flesh & Bones | Survivor's Manual, it has more information, especially things like how the zombies themselves work. I haven't read through it all yet, but it's a nice addition. There's also Dead on Arrival | Survivor Profile Pack which gives some example characters as well as a blank (though not fill-able) character sheet. So.... yeah.

I will. That hard drive is currently disconnected cause Comcast was digging around and rewiring the house. I'm reassembling the battlestation now, but had to connect all the surround sound and such back up first.

Honestly, I have no idea how to do that in the game's rules, but since it's an incredibly loose system, I don't see why we can't work some of it out.

Still need to see that movie.

But have seen a few movies and played a few zombie games. Zombie land, 28 Day Later, Shawn of the Dead, Left 4 Dead, Dead Island (it's a dead world isn't it? :roll: ), a little of the Resident Evil games. I think I'll try to figure out the rules, and try it out.

I used to be a clerk at a local S-Mart working in the housewares and sporting goods departments. This all changed one day when I went up to a cabin in the woods for a weekend away with my girlfriend. I read some passages from an old book, and before I knew it BAM, zombies everywhere. Now the magic of this evil book takes me from one dimension to another fighting deadites wherever I go. I can only hope one day it will drop me off back home...

Ash is a Deadly survivor, with +2 to his Aim and +1 to his Agility, but a -1 to his Spirit. He is also an avid Gun Enthusiast, giving him a +3 to any rolls to repair firearms. In a group situation, he's usually the Leader. Sporting a chainsaw bolted to his stump where his right-hand once was and a sawed-off shotgun in his left, he looks something like this:
