I wouldn't mind joining, I just refurbished a deck and am looking to try it out. I'll need to properly craft the decklist though to send it in.

Okay, think two days is about enough? JaC and rstnme both have their decks sent in now, so I was hoping to start soon.

Sorry, you can start without me.
I have other obligations for now.

More?

I'm willing to either play or host (if no other host can be found)

I'd still kind of like to play but I'd probably be limited in how much time I can devote to it. I couldn't even promise that I'd be on once a day right now. Plus, most of the whole reason I wanted to in the first place was to partially relive my first roleplaying experience in the old F&S board, and I don't know how many other people would want to spend even an hour weaving a story to their moves when I'd be wanting to spend at least 3.

I'm totally up for this. My main limiter is logistical: If the game's going to go long I can't keep my cards out on the table for days, but if there's a mod handling this (as I've seen on these boards) or if I use a program to give me my draws (which I have now from testing apps), I can take as long as it takes.

Scarlet mentioned playing or hosting. If he doesn't want host and wants to participate, I'd be willing to moderate and hand out cards to a three player free for all. Just make a not here if you'd like to have me do that for ya.

Well, if you'd like to challenge anyone, I'd suggest throwing a PM or two out there and tell them to come on and sign up. Also, you should decide what kind of game you'd like to play.

I am fine with multiplayer.
I will need your decks though. You can send them to me through linking them where they are somewhere, or create them in a PM and sending them to me that way.

I've been thinking about running a PBP Magic game where players DON'T have predefined decks, but each draw is chosen by the player at draw time subject to the forum random diceroll function defining specific parameters (card cost, color, and type) from which you must choose your card. Ideally this can be a game independent of a gamemaster/runner after initial hands are defined but as the first trial run I'd be happy to showrun for two other players. If I can find two other players.

You can see an early play-out of this format (where we were playing 5-color rainbow pre-BotG standard) here:
http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1063674 ... sus-jockib
http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1064482 ... uy-rematch

But postmatch discussion and lessons learned had us refine the proposed ruleset to something like the below.

We declare our deck color makeup in sixths, in turn. For instance, if you say "4/6 Black, 1/6 White, 1/6 Green", then on any color roll, 1-4 means black/swamp, 5 means white/plains, 6 means green/forest.
Then we each do seven draws, in sequence (so we have established what card N is before we roll for card N+1). Ideally this is done in secret, either with a gamerunner or just a fair third party who can verify it was done fairly.

Every draw (both initial handfilling and in-game draws) is handled as 3 rolls: a D6 for color, D6 for cost, and D10 for type.

I propose the type roll be:
1-3: Basic land of the color matching the color die. Ignore the cost roll.
4: Nonbasic land of your choice (if you choose a land that can produce colored mana, one of the colors it can produce must match the color roll). Ignore the cost roll.
5-9: Monocolored card of the rolled color and costed as per the cost roll.
0: Colorless nonland card with cost matching the cost roll, *or* multicolored card that includes the rolled color, with CMC matching the cost roll. If the multicolored card is a split, only halves of the split that match or partially-match the color roll are used to determine CMC.

Deck-searching cards that could find basic lands can find any basic land in your color makeup.
