43) There exists an artifact of great power somewhere on the plane known as "the Fork of Power", which is said to allow the user to eat the sun.

"That's a spicy meatball!"

44) The Fork of Power is jealously guarded by the aven, for fear that the agents of the Serpent might lay hands upon it.

45) The Great Serpent has long schemed to create his own people or bring a race under his control. He had nearly succeeded with the ratfolk before the cats took their lands.

47) It is said that this blood comes from a yearly combat between the serpent god and the other gods. Most claim it is the blood of the serpent god as he is bested by the others, while his supporters claim it is blood her draws from the other gods.

48) The Kithkin live in small communities spread among the oases of the desert. Their hardy insect mounts, and intimate knowledge of the land allow them thrive beyond the reach of more powerful empires.

2) But molding rock is very common, since you can't have a plane totally devoid of artifacts.

3) There is a dwarven rockmolder that believes there was once metal on the plane - and that the dwarven god has tasked him with wandering the plane eternally, serving up the souls of those that depleted the plane's nonexistent supply of metal.

5) On this plane green-aligned naturalists rail against the unnatural reshaping of mother earth.

6) Black-aligned "civilization" exists as The Blight, a collection of Shades, Zombies, some few Vampires, and other assorted undead driven by the dark force that animates them to work towards reducing the world to rotted ruin.

7) There are rumors that this is not the first world the Blight -- or the Dark Tide -- has plunged into an age of darkness. It's almost as if it were a recurring theme of a particularly grim author's works, if this world happened to be fictional (which, as we all know, it isn't).

9) This plane's green mana users fight over whether or not tree-shaping is acceptable. Some see it as just as vile as "earth warping", while others see it as a gift given by the forests. Still others see it as a heresy, but a necessary one if they wish to stay relevant in a world of "earth-warpers".

10) Metal being scarce, warfare consists mostly of trained animal combat, with armored "knights" riding bests like mammoths and lizards and bears into battle.

11) The world is very cold: the metal-less civilizations are largely cramped into an "equatorial" band surrounded by water on two sides and ice wastes on the others, a blessing seeing as the zombies and vampires of the Blight can't operate in winter or the Ice Wastes.

12) The day-night cycle on this plane is 108 hours long. The Blight is most active during the Long Night, when the civilized lands are plunged into silent darkness.

13) Without metal, weaponsmiths are more often carpenters smiths. Sharp edges are made from teeth and claws or the sharp but fragile "hellstone" (obsidian). Earth shapers capable of the precision needed to make weapons are too valuable to waste creating arms for the common soldier.

14)Cliffed coasts are common on the plane, and the dwarven coastal villages have most of their houses carved into them.
