Welcome to the fifth season of Pro Tour: You Make the Card! This is your annual opportunity to put your fantasy fantasy card design skills to the test for a chance at internet immortality. Over the next several months, this competition will push you to be the best designer you can be to see which of you can join the ranks of YMTC legends.

Thanks for enduring the planeswalker round. Planeswalkers are difficult to design and more difficult to judge. You guys deserve a break from them, but you won't get one.

Just kidding.

Given a particular word, people will often immediately associate that word with a particular color. For example, if you had a to pick a color in Magic for a card with fire in its name, you will nearly always pick red. However, there are nonred cards that also evoke fire, such as Fire and Brimstone, Hellfire, and Myojin of Cleansing Fire.

For each color, I have chosen three words that strongly connote a particular color. Design a colored card representing one of these words without including its associated color in its color identity.

At the beginning of your upkeep, put a growth counter on a land you control.
Lands with growth counters on them are forests in addition to their other types, and when adding mana, add an additional :g: for each growth counter on that land.
At the end of your turn, sacrifice each forest you control with two or more growth counters on them.
Roots may dig as deep as they like, but branches can never reach the sun.

Yup. You're representing the word. Lack of Organization would represent the opposite of organization, not organization.

Weary Weight of Eons

When Weary Weight of Eons enters the battlefield, put three time counters on each creature.
All creatures have Vanishing 3 (Creatures enter the battlefield with three additional time counters. At the beginning of each player's upkeep, they remove a time counter from each creature they control. When the last time counter is removed from a creature, its controller sacrifices it.)
At the beginning of the end step, if no creatures are on the battlefield, sacrifice Weary Weight of Eons.
Time is on no one's side.

Quick question: Do the chosen words need to exist in the card name? Or, as long as the concept is conveyed, we're in the clear? I'm assuming it's the latter option - but just wanted to confirm before I update the name of my card.

Nope. Just make absolutely sure that you state which word you're using. Your card doesn't need to have that word in it. It only needs to represent that word.

Whenever you cast an artifact or enchantment spell, put that card on the bottom of its owner's library, then you get an experience counter. (The spell doesn't resolve.)
Pay five experience counters and sacrifice To Create a Masterpiece: Search your hand, graveyard, and/or library for an artifact or enchantment card with converted mana cost 5, 6, or 7, and put it onto the battlefield. If you searched your library, shuffle it.
If it isn't perfect, it is trash.

Water Torture is probably a stretch then, huh? I wouldn't really say water torture's about the water.
I was thinking an enchantment that dealt increasing damage to players each turn until it dealt damage => cards in hand. (Not carding it up because it's not my submission whicht would get confusing)
