@Raz, Yeah it's probably too good, but I'd totally submit it that way in design and argue with development when they raised the cost. But turn-1ing it into a turn 2 mana myr would feel soo good. Even if you might not have another good one drop that turn. (Yes, I know it would keep making mana later, but that's not the soo good part)

At least two of the remaining three. If we only get one more by tomorrow night, I'll step in and judge this round.

Do we always wait for the full results before posting the next round's criteria? I know it will start mattering once eliminations get going, but shouldn't it be ok now?

we always have. I think it's better for narrative structure anyway.

In addition to what razorborne said, I also like to give the judges a break between rounds. This is a volunteer job and it takes a lot of time. But if they agree to judge nonstop, we could could move to that structure instead.

I think he just meant that if the week's over and we don't have results we can start the next round and wait for the remaining judges. I definitely couldn't do non-stop.

I'm not sure it's what you want, but since I haven't entered, I could also be a contingency judge for this round.

I appreciate your willingness to help. However, judges need to have won a previous Pro Tour, YMTC Idol, or YMTC Championship.

Dudibus informed me that his rankings should be up today, and Rumor is doing his best to get his posted by tonight as well. No word from Mown, but he has a long history of posting his rankings on the last day in the past. I'm not especially worried.

why does theatog have an ugly thing under and over his post count

Have some rankings

To make some general comments, you were probably penalized if you made a mechanic that cared about either the color of your permanents, or basic land types, because 1) Mirrodin is an artifact block, and disincentivizing you from playing artifacts then as a mechanic is weird, and 2) One of Mirrodin's features were artifacts land and putting an emphasis on basic lands on an artificial plane feels like a miss to me (don't talk to me about the affinity for basic cards). That said, some card designs might have compensated, because I generally felt like the card quality as a whole was sub-par, which typically happens when people design new mechanics. (I also found the mechanics to be pretty sub-par, but that's to be expected, it's hard to do, and this round was especially challenging.)
