the Council has emerged. facing desperate circumstances, Pumik and its gang have set aside subterfuge in a last-ditch attempt to unite the Isles in time to face the threat as one, but it may already be too late. Vella's meddling has overloaded the Tidepoint Seal, and Narissa's has shattered it. the arcane backlash disrupts Ossia's weather, darkening the sky with storm clouds and churning the waves into a deadly frenzy. and as the roil builds, the tides, restrained for millennia by the now-broken Seal, begin to rise, creeping slowly up the shores and leaving death in their wake. the worst has come.

welcome, friends, to The Second Flood, the final set of the Ossia trilogy. if you are unfamiliar with the events of the Ossia storyline or the mechanical themes of the block, you can find links to the previous sets in my signature. for those who enjoy stories, I also wrote an incomplete cycle of vignettes on the various Isles for the M:EM, depicting events that occurred largely between the first set and the second. a couple Isles are missing, but they may get written later. or they may not. we shall see.
and now the final chapter begins. will Vella succeed in collapsing the plane? will Ulrexes escape his bondage? will Narissa gather the power she needs to restore her form? and what will happen to the Ossian people? let's find out. The Second Flood starts now.

Whenever Explorer's Craft or another ship you control attacks and isn't blocked, you may untap a land you control. Even as the world ends, a Lizard's curiosity is never sated.
Lightcloud- Artifact-Ship (C) War Machine (As long as you are attacking with a creature, this artifact may attack as though it were a creature. It gets summoning sickness.) Whenever Lightcloud or another ship you control attacks and isn't blocked, you may scry 1. The Worldkin see Ossia through foreign eyes.
Patchwork Rammer- Artifact-Ship (C) War Machine (As long as you are attacking with a creature, this artifact may attack as though it were a creature. It gets summoning sickness.) Patchwork Rammer can't be blocked by creatures with power 2 or less. The most dangerous place on Ossia is in a Troll's way.
Raider's Raft- Artifact-Ship (C) War Machine (As long as you are attacking with a creature, this artifact may attack as though it were a creature. It gets summoning sickness.) Whenever Raider's Raft or another ship you control attacks and isn't blocked, you may put a +1/+1 counter on a creature you control at end of combat. As the waters rise, many Djinn have simply taken to living entirely on the sea.

Basalt Keyshard- Artifact (U) , : Add or to your mana pool. , , sacrifice Basalt Keyshard: Draw two cards. Target player discards a card. Inky blue, like the waves beneath the midnight sky.
Emblazoned Keyshard- Artifact (U) , : Add or to your mana pool. , , sacrifice Emblazoned Keyshard: Target player loses 4 life. Dull crimson, like a dying flame.
Swiftpad's Keyshard- Artifact (U) , : Add or to your mana pool. , , sacrifice Swiftpad's Keyshard: Until end of turn, target creature loses all abilities and becomes a green Insect with base power and toughness 0/1. Shimmering teal, like Narrin's own scales.
Thundertrail Keyshard- Artifact (U) , : Add or to your mana pool. , , sacrifice Emblazoned Keyshard: Put a +1/+1 counter on target creature. It gets +2/+2 until end of turn. Fading green, like the leaves of a dying thicket.

*"To YMTC it up" means to design cards that have value mostly from a design perspective. i.e. you would put them in a case under glass in your living room and visitors could remark upon the wonderful design principles, with nobody ever worring if the cards are annoying/pointless/confusing in actual play

if it's any consolation, being marked with an ordinal number could be viewed as implying that it is not the last flood...
I mean, it doesn't imply that. that's an absurd reading and requires a huge stretch to reach. but if it gives you any comfort, you're welcome to read it that way.
