For those who don't know, I did a community contest to get ideas for the BCP that I'm trying to get going. Unfortunately, I'm really lazy, so I'm not going to go through the work required to painstakingly evaluate each submitted setting. Instead, I'm going to make you do my work for me, through a process called "democracy". The submitted settings are here:
viewtopic.php?f=17&t=1380

Pick your favorite one, post it and any comments you have in the thread (if you discuss multiple settings, bold the one you're voting for for clarity's sake). On Saturday, I'll count up the votes, and the winner will be the basis of the big card project X!

My vote is for Yxoque's unnamed plane.

I think I learned about this in algorithms.

Regardless, I like my own starting point, so I'm unsurprisingly going to go with that.

Submissions:
YingLung

Tevish Szat

Morgothra

Mown

Yxoque

I'm going to be a bit of a jerk and vote on my own plane.

(Also, can't you set up a poll for this?)

Oops, meant to post the link in the other thread. How do I make a poll?

I rather like Yxoque's plane. I'm much more mechanics inclined and I think his plane allows for a lot of mechanical freedom while also adding some interesting flavor to inspire new cards (namely the entire market concept as well as some of the race choices and how they fit into the society. Black Catfolk <3).

The other ones I'm indifferent about and the only thing I don't really like is Tevish's two color factions which is more a personal preference to not be locked into doing a set with heavy offcolor interaction.

Trivium sounds interesting, but needs to be fleshed out a bit before I'll bite.
However, Yxoque's world is my vote.
Hmmm. What to call it though?
Marketplace
Pecunia
Colludia
Truke
Travice
Slahyud
Encade

How about Otwon? This is an acronym of Adam Smith's capitalist treatise "On the wealth of nations".

EDIT: actually, the name sounds pretty crappy when you actually try to pronounce it.

It was intentionally left vague so that it could be taken in multiple directions :/

Thanks. That's exactly the reaction I was shooting for.

@YingLung: It does need a name, but that's something rather hard to pin down. I want something that sounds like high-fantasy, so from your suggestions I'm leaning towards Colludia or Encade. That's the direction I'd go in.

The problem is, it's hard to take the Venn diagram plane concept and localize it. Most of the mechanics would have to be either really global or latent triggers. If this perception is inaccurate, please correct me.
Like I said, Trivium sounds interesting, but I'm not sure how it would be implemented in a narrative format.

@Yxoque: Makes sense. Also, with the way the poll is set up, there is more time to decide on a name, assuming that your plane wins.

This is kinda a bump, since I think we could use a bit more votes. If it's going to be a community project, we want to engage as much of the community as possible.

I'm thinking about Encaede. I liked Encade, but the extra "e" sounds better. It does look weird now that I've written it down. Maybe I need to think about it some more.

Yeah, I don't know either. I had used words dealing with commerce and selected sounds I liked to mash into a name. Looking back, it does look more like a term than a name.
