Time for a big ol' retool. Deck still doesn't close out as consistently as I'd like. Since the last post I've only made one change and that was to cut Smothering Abomination for Razaketh, the Foulblooded.
Anyway, lots of new cards since last this list got updated and also I'd like to bring it into line with the Command Zone recommended category spread as that seems to work pretty well for me.
The ramp fix here appears pretty straight forward and I like where it sits in the curve well enough. It could be a little lower I suppose, but I sacrificed a little of the curve here for some repeatable synergy and I think that's ok.
My card draw effects are a bit higher cost than I'd like overall, and maybe not all of these +4 will make it into the deck, but I like the synergies they offer
I didn't want to count these towards my "card draw count" because of how expensive they are. They have to be considered utility cards not core category cards.
I'm oversized here and I'm adding one more to it, but really the last piece is probably too expensive to be a core category card and it's really going in there to primarily be a combo piece. But this is one area I can definitely shave cards from
Okay, so this isn't a command zone category, but I thought it was worth analyzing to see if this is an area I can scrape cards out of. Yahenni is a card I want to add anyway because I've seen it be a superstar in lots of other decks and I think it will do good work here.
OK, wow. That's a big overhaul. 23 out and 35 in obviously doesn't equate to a legal sized deck, but It's a fine start and I'd love to hear other opinions.
So, I obviously decided to reevaluate what can fall into the category, however I'm now looking for a threshold of cards to fall below a certain casting cost. In this case 7 cards to fall at 5 mana or less to activate or cast. This section has a full 12 cards that fit that criteria. This may be a good category to look to for cuts.
I decided not to include Massacre Wurm or Demon of Dark Schemes, because at only a global -2/-2 they're a bit soft to be considered wipes in my eyes. Even here, I'm hesitant on Living Death because it can bite the caster hard, but it sure does remove every creature that's currently on the field.
Mana Curve-Creatures/Non-Creatures/Total 1-1/2/3 2-8/3/11 3-11/4/15 4-4/4/8 5-10/6/16 <-Entreat the Dead Here 6-9/1/10 7-3/2/5 <-Gaze of Granite Here 8-2/0/2 9-0/1/1 10-0/1/1 <-Genesis Wave Here
Average CMC- 4.3125/4.375/4.333
Huh. The curve honestly isn't as bad as I thought it would be. It's not great, but it's workable. Considering how my Niv deck turned out (with the whole 3 games I've gotten in with it) I don't see this as being too bad a place to be average cmc wise so long as I keep to the category minimums.
Whooee, this took a while to write out and adjust, but I like the progress I've made. I'm, of course, open to any feedback anybody would like to leave.

I'm still worried that this isn't an EDH players' deck. I need you need more rare Bombs. Three cards I'd add are Harvester of Souls, Ogre Slumlord and Pentavus. For having the #2 and #3 colors in card draw, your deck is weak in card draw. And if you're looking for things to cut, focus on things that are only tangentially related to what your deck's core themes are. (Your deck's core themes should be death triggers and reanimation).
