how do you know that? have you asked?

one of the original ideas for front page content was Idol coverage. were we to have a front page I'd be happy to do articles about PT highlights.

I consider it unlikely that the mods have assembled a group of individuals for such a task without it gaining my attention. We very well might be capable of doing it, but I haven't seen any visible effort towards it for over half a year or so.
Although I'm sure there are other reasons as well, although the only thing that immediately comes to mind is layout, or possibly wanting to delay it until we have X or Y online, whatever those things would be. Or apathy.
Or maybe it was just sidelined after the wiki came online, because they share my opinion on front-pages for community sites, although I'm hardly the average user so accomodating for my taste might not be a good idea.

as far as I know it was sidelined because it was bun's project and bun disappeared and no one else took over.

Yeah my understanding is that Bun just hasn't been around and no one else has had time/wherewithall

Mown I responded to what you typed. I'm a brilliant and profoundly beautiful person but I am not a mind reader. Besides, I wasn't just talking about you. Try not to be so sensitive. Not everything is a personal attack on you.

Regardless, razorborne raises an important point: how do you know we don't have people willing to reformat content? I mean the M:EM stuff is ALREADY in a format that would be easily portable to a front page so there's no necessity regardless for a reformatting job. And calls for contests in YMTC, of which there are several big ones running right now, don't need to be reformatted for a main page either.

I don't see how the mods having a list of names and assigned tasks ready to hand matters given all this. It seems like an unreasonable standard.

Personally, I don't agree with this.

Most of our works are formatted to be readable on the NGA forums, but besides not having a consistent style (in regards to planar guides and character sheets), I feel we're lacking in formats for release. We have stories readable on the forums, and... that's about it. I've converted a very small handful of stories into .pdf for Mown (was it Mown? I think it was Mown), but 90% of what's even backed up on the shared M:EM google Drive is specifically formatted for the forums, rather than being properly formatted for reading there.

English dictates that as the most rational way to interpret it from my perspective. You could've said "why is there always someone on this board going", and sure, that could've been fine. When you say "why do some people on the board always", it implies that certain individuals do it on a consistent basis. When I am the only person to have said so since however long it is since the topic was last brought up, and your reply comes directly afterwards, I can read it two ways: Because I am the only one to have brought it up, you are saying that I have said so before. Alternatively, you are referring to someone else, whom evidently haven't brought it up each time, since I was the only one that did it.

Regardless, razorborne raises an important point: how do you know we don't have people willing to reformat content? I might be moving goalposts right now, I honestly don't know. Regardless, I've tried to clarify that I don't doubt that we could get some people willing to do something, but we currently don't. If we launched a home page right now, would we have people to write articles? No, we'd still have to organize it first.

I don't see how the mods having a list of names and assigned tasks ready to hand matters given all this. It seems like an unreasonable standard.

Actually screwed up my terminology there, meant administrator. Or, well, whoever would take charge in release the home page, which can't be one of us mundanes. I'd assume they would like to have planned out some period of time before turning on the lights.

At the start of the disuccion about the front page, folks did offer to write stuff ( some of those folks have since been banned, but w/e)

This..this is the reason why nothing has happened in regards to the front page last time anyone asked.

I don't know if we need focus on articles for the front page. A link to whatever big contest's going on at the moment could work. NGA tourney notices. I suppose we would need to make it look professional, but most of that's just copy/paste after the initial setup.

I've never touched M:EM.

Then who was it...? Was it Storyteller? I know it was someone who isn't normally in that neck of the woods. Dang it, this is going to drive me crazy.

QUICKEDIT: A quick search reveals it was Squinty_Eyes!

I've often not wanted to type out the whole "Add one mana of any color to your mana pool." So I made a symbol for it. Could it be added to the [mc] tags as o? (as in gold or one mana of any color)

Thanks!

I've one last request:

Could the nc tags also be [cc], for "custom card", in the same way that spoiler and sblock do the same thing? Easier to type and more-straightforward, I think.

Sure, no problem.

Could you get rid of the 'new topic' button from inside threads? I keep clicking it by accident. I don't want to make a new topic when I'm already in one. That's silly.

Is it possible to keep that feature on the M:EM Archivist account? I find it useful when uploading works although I don't technically need it, and I can see that there wouldn't be much lost if it goes.

For the times I don't use quick reply (which is rare), I usually go through the 'Full Editor' option right beneath it anyway.
Just, as an option. It's a nice habit to get used to.

NGA cardview tabs have "Card View * No Goblins Allowed" as their mouse over texts. That doesn't really tell you much. Could we make that into "Card View * [Card Name]" or |[Card Name] * No Goblins Allowed"?

May I just express that this still causes me a little worry?

Please express this loudly and frequently.

I was starting to think I was the only one wondering if there was anyone flying the plane.

I am legitimately worried about Bun because her sudden disappearance seemed very out of character for her. She was a nice person, so I'm hoping nothing has upset her life too badly.
But even besides that, y'know, there's the entire "forum owner" thing that causes me trepidation too.
