Do enemies have modifiers too? Because a natural 20 wouldnt beat my score without one.

In answer to the traps thing, basically if you fail I'll tell you you detect none, but this could also mean there are none there. For the picking and disarming, I'd likely give you a +2 bonus if you knew how the trap worked in some detail and a -2 if you had little idea what you were disarming.

And as for the natural 20 thing, nat 20 is auto success, nat 1 is auto failure. And as you've already seen, I like to add hilarious consequences for crits.

Okay I worked out where I was going wrong with DCG. I had done the math once at creation, and had forgotten, was doing it again and adding it on....I should still grab some Mown deets though.
