Well, without giving too much away, they represent ordeals she must undertake.
They will reflect her past and choices she has made.
As to color alignment, no, there won't theoretically be any shift, just a different facet of herself exposed.
Also, glad you read it!
There's actually more pieces featuring Maral, but they aren't narratives.
With that in mind, I would like to change my vote. We'll need one ordeal that plays to her strengths, and another ordeal which plays to her weaknesses. She's a blacksmith and artificer by trade, which gives her patience, timing, and an eye for details. That plus her giant's strength leads me to believe that she would excel in the Hunter's Path. However, despite her sharp wit when sparring with Raleris, she seems badly shaken about her inability to reproduce a Sol Ring. Which suggests that insoluble problems throw her off her game like nobody's business. This was characterized by a trend in her thoughts toward her past, and everyone who laughed at her apparent brutishness and lack of decorum during her childhood, suggesting a deeply buried insecurity and fear of failure. Which means that problems that can't be dragged off to a forge and smelted down will be an especial challenge for her, particularly if they tend toward the social. Therefore, the clear choice is the Savant's Destiny.
My vote then is

Might/The Hunter and

Outwit/The Savant.
