Sorry, no gods or demons here. Just science.

Well... more like statistics, with a Boltzman Brain problem that is also a solution.

The universe, as far as we can tell, is infinite in size. It also (may) have existed in the past in an incredibly dense state for an infinite amount of time, and will continue to exist (perhaps in an incredibly not-dense state) for an infinite amount of time. There may be an infinite number of other realities where the laws of physics happened differently, and an infinite number of other timelines as well, though this is less certain. The point is, we're swimming in infinites. Infinite is a hell of a number. Any number that interacts with it also goes to infinite. The weird this about this is that if something is at all possible, in even the tiniest percentage chance, then it must happen within an infinite system, and will in fact happen an infinite number of times.

So, if the universe is infinite in either size, time, or state, then everything happens, and happens an infinite number of times.

That includes you.

You will happen, and you have happened at least once. By probability, you will also happen an infinite number of times. It doesn't matter if it happens right now somewhere else, or it happens sometime else, or it happens in another dimension, or it happens in another time. This also means that there is a non-zero chance that when you die, an exact replica of your consciousness pops into being somewhere, sometime, or somehow else in the universe, along with all your experiences and memories up to that point. Yes, that's a Boltzman Brain, but there's an incredible catch that gets around the normal Boltzman Brain problem; since you no longer exist, that Boltzman Brain is the new you! If it's exact enough, down to the quantum level, there becomes no differentiation between the you here reading this right now, and the Boltzman Brain you. It is you, just teleported across the cosmos or dimensions.

Now, that doesn't mean anything other than you can be happy to know that you will continue to exist. Of course, the new spot you "teleport" into has no bearing on your previous deeds. The best I can relate is that you're most likely to end up somewhere that something like you can exist. So probably not somewhere where you will near-instantly die, but hey, who knows otherwise. Also, in such an event, no one around you will likely have the same experience, and there's no telling if your new "brain" will even be able to hold onto these memories for very long.

So yeah, probably no heaven, and probably no hell, but probably you still exist, and existence is what gives you purpose, so please keep doing that. Because, there's a possible chance I'm wrong. And in an infinite universe like the one I just described, not only am I wrong, but I'm wrong an infinite number of times!

Thanks for reading!

Pretty sure that's not how it works.

You're probably right.

It's possible to be infinite without containing all theoretically possible objects.

Look at the infinite series "1/n" for values of n going from 1 to infinity. It's also infinitely long, and it never repeats itself, but you'll still never find a number greater than 1.

Besides, what makes you think the universe is infinite? It's existed for a finite period of time, and scientists have actually been able to pinpoint the beginning of time.

Then comes your belief that an exact copy of your material self would constitute "you", which is far from axiomatic.

Finally, it's ridiculous of you to advance the idea of "Boltzmann Brains" without addressing the the most important implication of Boltzmann's hypothesis.

People without formal education in physics should not come up with ontological hypotheses based in physics.
